1. Our Sovereign Commitment

KuraVault is built on the principle of Data Sovereignty. We believe your digital memory should belong exclusively to you. Unlike traditional bookmark managers, KuraVault is designed as a local-first application. Your data stays on your hardware.

2. Data Collection & Usage

KuraVault handles the following types of data to provide its core functionality:

  • Website Content: We process the text and metadata of pages you explicitly save to create your local index. This data never leaves your device.
  • User Settings: Your preferences (e.g., theme, layout) are stored locally in your browser's storage (IndexedDB).
  • Authentication & Licensing: If you purchase a Shogun license via Polar.sh, we verify your license status locally. We do not link your payment identity to your browsing data.

3. Zero Data Sharing

KuraVault does not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. We do not use trackers, analytics pixels, or advertising scripts within the extension. Your "Second Brain" is invisible to us.

4. Local AI Processing

All AI-powered features—including semantic search, auto-tagging, and summarization—are executed on your local machine using WebGPU and WASM. No text is sent to external LLM providers for processing.

5. Data Security

Data stored within KuraVault is protected by your operating system's native security measures. For Pro users utilizing sync features, all data is End-to-End Encrypted (E2EE)before leaving your device, ensuring that even our sync providers cannot access your content.

6. Chrome Web Store Compliance

In accordance with the Google Chrome Developer Program Policies:

  • We only request permissions strictly necessary for bookmarking and local indexing.
  • We do not use user data for creditworthiness or personalized advertising.
  • We do not transfer data to data brokers.
